Who we are

Evora Language Club is a free MVP (minimum viable product) test to see if this kind of language learning is useful. It is not a business yet.

Feedback you send us (your message, plus an email address only if you include one so we can reply).
A cookie preference (a small localStorage flag in your own browser).
Anonymous, aggregate page views (visit counts, not linked to you).
In plain English: almost nothing — just what you choose to send us, plus a flag that remembers your cookie banner choice.

Names, passwords, or emails for accounts — no accounts exist. Sign-in and sign-up are disabled.
Payment info — the service is free.
Any data linked to a personal profile — there are no profiles.

Consent — when you send feedback, you consent to us using it to reply and improve the site. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate interest — remembering your cookie preference and keeping the site running.
In plain English: feedback is consent-based; everything else is just what any site needs to function.

Under GDPR and similar laws you have the right to:
Right of access — request a copy of your data
Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data
Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — ask us to delete feedback you sent
Right to restrict processing — ask us to pause using your data in certain cases
Right to data portability — export your data in a machine-readable format
Right to object to processing — object to how we use your data
Right to withdraw consent at any time — for anything you previously agreed to
Right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — if you think we handled your data unfairly

Feedback is kept for 2 years, then deleted. Cookie preferences stay in your own browser until you clear them.
In plain English: no account means no account data — the only thing on our side is feedback, and it expires.

Our hosting runs on Vercel (global) and feedback is stored with Supabase (US). Transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses.
In plain English: your data may travel to the US because that is where our hosting runs, but it stays protected under the same rules.

This service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If you are a parent and think your child shared data with us, email evoralanguageclubmpv@gmail.com and we will delete it.

While we strive to ensure digital accessibility for all users, our website is currently not fully optimized for assistive technologies, including screen readers used by individuals with visual impairments.
We are aware that some areas of the website may present accessibility barriers. We are currently reviewing our platform and working toward improving our accessibility standards to support all users in the future
