Explanation
Different reporting verbs take different patterns: admit and deny plus -ing, suggest plus -ing or a that-clause, warn and remind plus a person plus the infinitive, claim and argue plus a that-clause. Choosing the verb precisely shows your judgement of the source.

Admit takes -ing.
